Brand becomes first sponsor of its kind for obstacle race athletes

August 3, 2017 — Raleigh, NC – Brave Soldier, makers of skincare, protection and first aid for athletes, is now an official sponsor of the US Spartan Races and its athletes. The partnership officially launched at the Spartan Race “Southeast Showdown” in Asheville, North Carolina July 28 – 30, the fourth of five races on the 2017 Spartan Race U.S. Championship Series.

“We very excited about this partnership, as it feels like a natural fit for our brand and Spartan,” said Glenn Veasey, manager with Brave Soldier. “While our products work for all athletes, they are especially beneficial for the endurance athlete training and competing in Spartan Race. Spartan Athletes can focus on what they do best and know they’ll be in great hands when it comes to first aid and wound treatment before, during and after the race.”

As part of the partnership, Brave Soldier will offer multiple on-site experiential marketing activations throughout the 2017-2018 Spartan Race season. The brand will have retail space for purchase and sampling in the race festival, as well as co-branded exposure throughout course.

Digital promotion will include exposure on Spartan’s social media channels with the hashtag #BraveSpartan. As part of the partnership Brave Soldier will sponsoring Spartan Pro Team members Rea Kobl and Kevin Donoghue.

Brave Soldier will also launch an exclusive “Spartan Beast Pak”, the first Spartan sanctioned obstacle race first aid kit, which will be available for purchase at all races as well as the Spartan e-commerce shop.spartan.com

In addition to the Asheville race, Brave Soldier will be featured at Spartan races in Fayetteville, North Carolina and the Spartan Race U.S. Championship in Glen Jean, West Virginia.
